grab your fur
calling all festival goers!
its that time of year again all of us slc'ers look forward to.
two action packed nights later and im exhausted!
we strolled around all the art galleries making new friends with
all of the lovely owers and artist.
along the way we picked up some yummy apple cider that
helped us warm up from the tempetures in the teens.
we had the privledge of meeting ari gold who is a talented
musician/actor/producer not to mention a down-to-earth guy.
he is part of The Honey Brothers, a new york based new wave folk band.
he wrote and directed the film Adventures of Power which made is debut at
sundance last year.
sundance ranks amongst the top 5 events of its type in the world.
i appreciate what the festival brings to the table here in utah.
i know we arent held in high regard when it comes to being
a "it" state but sundance will make you think twice about that.
all in all it was a great weekend.
if you havent ever checked out the festival, you should. your missing out on something great.

I love when guest are in town. It gives you an excuse to sleep in/go to breakfast/spend the day touring the city.
Not to mention the story telling and time spent with some awesome people. They are keepers!

Study up
As many of you know I am learning serbo-croatian.
Besides it being tough it has been a huge privilege and a great experience to take on the task of trying to learn the language. At times it feels as if I'll never be able to speak better than a 5 year old Bosnian! I hope to travel to the countries where it is spoken to improve my language skills. If you've never looked at pictures of that part of the world (Bosnia,Croatia,Serbia) I'd suggest it. Who knows,it might even make your "places I want visit" list.
